I experienced this error with our BizHub C454 when scanning directly to employee desktops, it does not sound like a security error as that would be on the user side and wouldn't throw up an error on the scanner itself. Has anyone else experienced the same scan issue with a printer? If you did, how did you manage to resolve it? Any help is much appreciated. Everything is fine insofar as we can see. On the PC side, we checked the scan folder for share and security permissions. We made sure there are no forward slashes in the host name. I will no longer support office MOPIERs scanning to anything other than SMTP or FTP. All of my Konica's scan to SMTP, and even that requires the printer to be hard reset sometimes. Those are linux based printers, the samba service simply doesn't always have the ability to communicate properly. We accessed the SMB settings in the Administrator Console of the printer and checked the Host address (Host name), File Path, User ID and Password. Do yourself a favor, stop scanning to SMB entirely. The error message is the same for each scan, but the error code varies. We installed a new Konica Minolta printer this spring (model number is bizhub C224e). The printer was scanning just fine until one day when the executive assistant reported that each time she scans a document, the error message "Failed to complete job" followed by an error code displays.
